Project Details
The East Argent Block One project consists of 127 acres including 156 homesites, a future amenity center and entry off Spine Road. J.H. Hiers Construction responsibilities include clearing, sanitary lift station, forced main, sanitary sewer, waterline, storm drain, curb and gutter, and asphalt paving.
Challenges and Unique Details
The challenge of this project is the amount of earthwork required in an accelerated project timeline. J.H. Hiers Construction will utilize two offsite borrow sources as well as several onsite crews to ensure that the site is up to grade.
Project Results
Results have been ongoing since project start October 2021. We continue to meet or exceed projected milestones. For instance, we successfully cleared 80 acres and imported fill dirt on the spine road. This enabled us to get to the lift station for installation in February 2022. Moving forward, the first subphase is scheduled for paving at the end of November 2022.
