Hilton Head RV Park is a 52 acre luxury RV park with 352 RV sites located in Bluffton, South Carolina. The J.H. Hiers Construction responsibilities while on site included mass grading, site utilities, asphalt and concrete paving.

Challenges and Unique Details
The required number of underground utilities in this compact of an area presented a challenge we were prepared to address. J.H. Hiers Construction was able to work closely with Choate Construction (the builder) and their subcontractors to resolve the conflicts the proposed installation of utilities created. In addition, the local municipalities required that several native trees be undisturbed. This presented additional challenges to installing deep utilities. As a result, we implemented the use of specialized shoring to protect the trees from any damage during construction.
Project Results
In the end, the underground utilities were successfully installed and all trees marked to stay in place were able to do so without issue. The Hilton Head Luxury RV Park finished project is impressive overall with a pool and pool house, along with a luxury clubhouse located in the center of the site. In December of 2021, the project was opened for business and has become a popular spot for RV’s.
